GREEN UP BRITAIN
We restore nature to mitigate climate change.

WE STILL HAVE TIME

We can limit global warming to only 1.5 degrees Centigrade* if we act now. By changing our lifestyles to be more mindful of what we're buying and how we're travelling, reducing our consumption of animal products (for our health as well as the planet), planting trees, re-greening and re-wilding whatever space(s) we can, and reducing the amount of water, energy and plastic we're using, we can make a big difference to life on our planet.

*An increase above 1.5 degrees in global temperature means:

  • Destabilisation and melting of Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets (causing a several metre increase in sea level)

  • Increased risk of extinctions, forest fires and transformation of ecosystems

  • Increased risk to health, livelihoods, food security, water supply and ultimately lives

Data shown are emissions after 2018

GET INVOLVED

Green Up Britain is taking immediate action against climate change by re-greening as many spaces as possible around the the UK.

You can help mitigate climate damage by joining our tree planting events, or funding us to restore nature in more areas.

You can also keep up-to-date with what we're doing, and find interesting climate change-related reads, on our blog and social media pages (LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter). Thank you, and please get in touch if you have land that needs rewilding.

Without nature we have nothing.

Let's help restore it.
